AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia is an amalgam of two organisations that
date back to the early '80s. ACNS' mission, as a community based, non-profit
organization, we exist to empower persons living with and affected by
HIV/AIDS and those at risk through health promotion and mutual support
and to reduce the spread of HIV in Nova Scotia.. ACNS provides leadership
on a range of program and policy issues throughout the province. ACNS
is the leading community based AIDS organisation for the development and
implementation of the NS Strategy on HIV/AIDS. With 4 full time staff,
ACNS provides a range of support and education programming.

Toronto
The AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) is a community-based, charitable organization
whose mission is to provide support, HIV prevention and education services
for people living with and at risk for HIV/AIDS. ACT provides free and
confidential support and practical services to men, women and youth living
with HIV/AIDS, and offers support to family, friends and partners of people
with HIV/AIDS. ACT works with gay and bisexual men, Portuguese-speaking
communities, youth, and women at increased risk for HIV infection to develop
and deliver HIV/AIDS information, education and outreach programs.

Montreal
AIDS Community Care Montreal is a community organization working primarily
in the English language to enhance the quality of life of people living
with HIV/AIDS, to prevent HIV transmission, and to promote community awareness
and action. ACCM is a volunteer based, non-discriminatory, community organization
dedicated to providing the highest possible quality of support, service
and information to people affected by HIV and AIDS.

Action Séro-Zéro is a non profit organization founded in 1984. The mission of the organization is to prevent HIV and other sexually transmitted infections among gay and bisexual men in the Montreal region through the development of prevention education and health promotion initiatives.
Action Séro-Zéro has developed various programs throughout the years in the pursuit of this mission. Various programs, such as the Action Séro-Zéro website and certain social marketing initiatives, reach gay men across the province.

Winnipeg
Nine Circles Community Health Centre (NCCHC) is a community-based, multifaceted,
primary health care centre that provides advocacy, care, treatment and
support for people living with HIV/AIDS, those at-risk for HIV/AIDS, as
well as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Two-Spirited persons;
and is committed to the prevention of HIV and STI (Sexually Transmitted
Infections) by means of education, research and up-to-date information
and treatment. NCCHC is a new dynamic venture in the delivery of community-based
health services in Winnipeg. It is designed to provide better quality
care, better access to existing HIV/AIDS services and a broad scope of
primary prevention services related to HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted
infections.

Vancouver
AIDS Vancouver exists to alleviate individual and collective vulnerability
to HIV and AIDS through care and support, education, advocacy and research.
For over 20 years, AIDS Vancouver has been at the forefront of the community
response to the epidemic in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Our
staff and volunteers strive to provide a comprehensive and integrated
range of health promotion, education, and support services.

The Community-Based Research Centre (CBRC) is a non-profit charitable
organization dedicated to improving the health of gay men. We support
the research and knowledge development needs of gay men and their organizations
locally, nationally and worldwide. We conduct our own research on gay
men’s health including the Sex Now survey. We also develop evidence
based interventions such as Totally Outright, a sexual health leadership
course for young gay men.

Rethink was founded in November 1999 by Chris Staples, Tom Shepansky and Ian Grais, and today is over 50 people strong. Rethink does both advertising and design for clients including the BC Lions, Future Shop, Coast Capital Savings, A&W and Science World, among others. In November 2003, the company was named Canada's Agency of the Year by Marketing Magazine.
Edmonton
HIV Edmonton provides education, support, harm reduction and advocacy
for individuals infected and affected by HIV. Services include counselling
and assistance for people who have HIV or who know someone living with
HIV, and in-house and off-site education programs. HIV Edmonton utilizes
Population Health Principles and works within a Harm Reduction framework
based on the believe that HIV is a symptom of greater social, health,
economic and political circumstances and any intervention or support must
consider all aspects of the lives of the populations served.

National
The Two-Spirited People of the First Nations is a non-profit social service
organization whose membership consists of Aboriginal Two-Spirit, lesbian,
gay, bisexual, transgendered and intersexed people. Our organization's
programs and services include HIV/AIDS education, outreach and prevention,
support and counselling for Two Spirit people and others living with HIV/AIDS.

The Canadian AIDS Society is a national coalition that supports community
action on HIV/AIDS issues in Canada. The Society represents 115 community-based
organizations across the country, providing the majority of education,
support and advocacy programs and services for individuals and communities
affected by HIV/AIDS. The mandate of the Society is to speak as a national
voice and to act as a national forum for a community-based response to
HIV infection and AIDS. The Society also undertakes advocacy on behalf
of people affected by HIV and AIDS, acts as a resource on HIV and AIDS
issues for its member organizations and coordinates community-based participation
in a national strategy to combat HIV and AIDS. The Society implements
it’s mandate through national initiatives in prevention education,
treatment, care and support.
